Giannis and Zion to record a double double +270 (FD)
Giannis points prop is obviously, way above ten as it is set at 27.5 points. Giannis rebound prop is set at 12.5 with the under favored. Zion’s points prop is as expected higher than ten points. Zion’s rebound prop though is only 7.5 rebounds. This is a decent prop since you are basically betting if Zion gets ten rebounds. The down side is that Zion has not been rebounding much at all. The rebounds totals are all over the map. Since January, Zion has double-digit rebounds just three times in ten games. Ugh. Pass.

Any Brooklyn Net to score 35+ points +140 (FD)
This is an awful boost. Yes, you could bet any Net to score 35+ points at this price, or I have a better idea. These are the prices for each Net to score 35+ points tonight: KD +310, Kyrie +680, Harden +700. I think it would make more sense to bet these each individually, for the upside.
If you bet this boost and one gets there, this is how it would look.

I am addicted to NBA top Shots.

As a kid, I loved collecting sports cards. I recently returned to that world. I bought a box of 2020 NFL Panini Prizm with friends. I posted the box break video here. I am now waiting for Prizm NBA in a few weeks.

Until NBA cards drop, something has filled the void. NBA Top Shots.

What is NBA Top shots? Well, they are a digital trading card, which are actually called moments.  Interest has sky rocketed over the last few weeks. The website has crashed multiple times. The first day I was able to purchase cards easily and the packs were readily available. Times have changed over the last fourteen days.

Now, packs are insanely difficult to acquire. The site crashes, or moves so slowly when packs are released. They claim they are upgrading the site to make it more user friendly. Despite the site issues, I am obsessed with this concept.

I can recall the first time on Twitter I saw Peter Jennings, Jonathan Bales, and Adam Levitan discussing spending a ton of money on a moment. I was intrigued. I asked a few members of the Numberball.com family about it and they had already purchased some packs. (Also, you should 100% subscribe to Numberball.com for their NBA DFS content)

I tried it. I bought two packs and recorded me opening them. I sold some of the moments for a profit. I bought two more packs. I sold some of the moments for a profit. You can watch me open these four packs here. I have an invested a total of $18 and change in NBA Top Shots.

This week I was able to buy four more packs, including one of the rare Cool Cats packs. Here is me opening all of these packs.

I have sold most of my highly valued moments at this point. I have an insane ROI considering my initial $18 investment. Having said that, I have not been as fortunate as some of my friends. People close to me have opened a $14 Cool Cats pack and pulled two moments they have sold for over $300 each. Insane. I think we have just started scratching the surface of what NBA Top Shots could be. For the low price of $18, I have entertainment, an investment, and an ability to buy more packs without having to reach back into my wallet. Like most things, the chase is part of the thrill. I love chasing packs. I love trying to figure out how much to sell a moment. I love projecting what players are going to boom the rest of the NBA season and trying to buy those players’ moments. Maybe most importantly, I like discussing this with my friends. Oh, making money is important and nice too.

Massive NBA slates seem to be followed up by tiny slates. I am not a fan. We hit the Embiid and Lebron boost last night, but got close on the Embiid boost I tweeted later in the evening. Florida State also came through easily and we hit our small parlay including them. If the Suns had only not blown a 4-point lead in the final three minutes it could have been an awesome night. Instead, it was a slightly profitable.

Gonzaga is now a 28.5-point favorite. Therefore, you are getting a bargain on the line at plus money. The halftime line is -16.5, so I would assume Gonzaga would be up at the half. San Diego has had so many games canceled it is hard to get a read on them. The only team even close to the Zags level is UCLA and they beat San Diego by 27 points. I am in on this one.

Kansas/Gonzaga/Houston to all win by 15+ points +275 (DK)
Obviously, this is a great deal on the Gonzaga line. Houston is -17.5 so you are again getting a deal. Kansas is -14.5 tonight. There is some clear value here as Kansas beat TCU by 29 in their previous meeting. Oddly, tonight, I am in on both of these college boosts.

Pistons +9.5
This is a perfect spot for the Lakers to potentially rest either AD or Lebron. A road back-to-back for Los Angeles and they are 1-1 straight up and against the spread in that scenario this season. Lakers plat at Boston on Saturday night in a national TV game on ABC. This is more about fading the Lakers spot, than liking the Pistons, but here we are.

What a long gambling weekend that was. We had the McGregor loss, which you should have profited on if you listened to what we said. I know I did. Anytime you hit an odds boost at +350, it is going to be a good night. I said it appeared KD was going to sit and to jump on that boost and Kyrie came through easily. Horse racing will make an appearance on national television today when the Pegasus World Cup, one of the richest races in the United States, runs this afternoon from Gulfstream Park in Florida. NBC will carry at least the final two races, the Turf Invitational & the headlining World Cup Invitational, live with post time for the Turf set for 5pm eastern time.

Race 11 Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational – 1 3/16 miles on the Turf – Purse is $1million – horses four years old and up

This race is considered a grade one, which in America, is the highest level of race that we have. With that said, this race to me is a grade one in name, not so much in talent. The favorite is expected to be #5 Colonel Liam with the country’s top jockey Irad Ortiz Jr riding for trainer Todd Pletcher. This four-year old was a last out winner in a restricted stakes race and steps up in class here against a full field of older horses and does not have any distinct speed or pace advantage. The horse can absolutely win, but it won’t be getting my money as the favorite as I am usually looking for value. I will start my play through #8 Anothertwistoffate, a west-coast based horse for trainer Peter Miller, ridden by Joel Rosario. This 5 year-old has already raced this year, beating a field of 7 in the Grade 2 San Gabriel back in early January. He popped a career best 103 beyer speed figure, and did it without the aid of Lasix (a common race day medication that is prohibited in stakes races at Gulfstream this year). He should be very involved in the pace from the beginning and will have every chance when they turn for home, any improvement from his last race makes him very difficult in here. I am also interested in #6 Largent, another Pletcher entry ridden by Paco Lopez, who comes in second off a little layoff and a last out winner beating a field of 10 in the Grade 2 Fort Lauderdale Stakes in December at this track in Florida. That was also a career best speed figure and this horse will be mid-pack early so if they go fast up front, he has a great chance to run them all down in the lane. If you are playing the pick4, or the pick5, both of which have $750k guaranteed pools on this day, I would use both of the horses listed above, along with #4 North Dakota and #2 Breaking the Rules.

Race 12 Pegasus World Cup Invitational Grade 1 – 1 1/8 Miles on Dirt – Purse #3 Million, for four year olds and up

This is one of the richest races in the country and it typically draws the best horses that are still racing and have not gone off to the breeding shed. With that said, again, we have seen better fields in the past and in general, there isn’t a ton to get excited about here. The conversation starts with the heavy favorite, #4 Knicks Go, for trainer Brad Cox. This horse has run 3 excellent races in a row since entering the Brad Cox barn and shows no signs of slowing down. While most of us are skeptical of how exactly Brad Cox is stepping this horse forward, there is no denying the improvement, as evidenced by the blowout win in the Breeders Cup Mile in November. He hasn’t raced since then, and he hasn’t gone this distance before, so he is vulnerable, but if he runs his best race, he will win and will probably win easily.

If you want value, or if you just want to have something to root for that isn’t the favorite, here are a few I would consider. I like #2 Coastal Defense at 15-1 on the morning line running his first race as a 5 year old for trainer Dale Romans, who is known to spice up these big racing days with some prices. He has races that are competitive here, including his last effort in the Grade 1 Clark, where he didn’t get the best trip. If he steps forward, he could win. Red hot trainer Danny Gargan will send in Tax, another making his first start as a 5 year old, but this horse we saw run for roses in the Kentucky Derby in 2019. He didn’t run well that day, but came back and showed improvement in the Belmont Stakes and has run some nice races since then. He has the best chance to run down the favorite late in the lane if Knicks Go is struggling with the distance.

The computer model went 2-2 last week in the playoffs and likes, both dogs this weekend! That seems crazy to me, but I trust the model. The model has gone 7-3 in the playoffs for 70% and Overall 145-110 good for 56.86%.

I fully expect the sites to add more odds boosts for this weekend. I will add more information and update as the sites do. I might just post them in the NBA odds boost blog tomorrow.

This is actually pretty good. On Fan Duel you can parlay this at +476. I like both the favorites and think I take a shot on this boost.

Both of their player props on over 2.5 TD’s pays +140 and +150. You are better off just betting the over on whomever you think wins. Pass on this one.
