Not a good weekend here. DFS turned into a disaster thanks to the Mixon late news. Mixon it appeared was going to have his touches limited, which was kind of correct. Mixon played 79% of the snaps and performed very well. My original plan for the week was to jam in Mixon, Gordon and Gurley into every lineup. Then the Mixon news hit near Noon and I started to tinker and make changes. MISTAKES WERE MADE. I decided I was going to fade James Conner as I felt he would not get the touches in the passing game. Despite being a Steeler fan, I was wrong. The Steelers ran the ball the best they have all season. I moved Mixon to CMC and came off some Gurley to free up salary. The Bengals used AJ Green more in the slot and that crushed Tyler Boyd’s usage and targets. Boyd being on the outside destroyed his value. I played 100% Boyd because I believed he should be priced well over 6k on DK. MVS was great and I wish I went 100% of him. My cash lineup ended up being my highest scoring lineup on both sites and even that did not lead to a good week. (You can view my cash game win percentages below) This is why we manage our bankroll and don’t over extend. You must be able to sustain losing weeks in GPP and cash. I do find it interesting that I have been to two Steeler games, in week 2 and week 5 and those are my only two losing weeks. I did get a major win in Pittsburgh this weekend stopping into Dancing Gnome Brewery. They only had one item for sale, a Triple IPA named ROC. I got to see my parents, go to a Steeler game with my dad, watch the Steelers win and look impressive, buy some fantastic beer, and come home to my wonderful family. Not a bad weekend besides the DFS disappointment.

The computer was awful this week going 3-10-1 with Washington tonight. Premiums picks were also not good at 1-3-1. Regression week was due to happen and it is here. Computer has been solid at 55% for a few years, so hopefully it gets back to that area.

I went 1-1 with my crazy teasers this weekend, which raised the winning percentage, which is funny.

My selections however are going very well. I had the Steelers who won easily. I had the Browns who won outright. Then there is the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins were up 17-0 getting six points late in the third quarter. HOW DID THEY NOT COVER? What’s that? Two turnovers that the Bengals brought back for scores in SEVEN minutes of game time. Oh that makes sense. When it was 17-0 Dolphins I was already counting my money. Despite that awful loss, I am killing it after five weeks. 10-4-1!

The Undertaker (GONG) total of the week came in easily thanks to Bill O’Brien trying to get fired in Houston. That was an awful game. Falling asleep on the couch watching the fourth quarter is might have been the best decision I made on Sunday.
